History Made in NY Blackout: ShirtsByMail.com will Honor City in a Unique Way.

Commemorative T-Shirts are being produced in honor of the pride and patriotism shown on the streets of New York during the blackout this past week. Shirts will be Available through www.shirtsbymail.com.

August 2003 -- Crime is usually committed under cover of darkness, but the massive blackout that hit New York on August 14th not only didn't inspire criminals -- it appears to have quieted them. In a city where people rely on technology, electricity and the internet daily to get through their lives, millions of people and businesses were without these things. Police say they responded to fewer calls of dead bodies found, break-ins or other felonies during the blackout than on an average NYPD day (according to WNBC/NY News). The people of New York should be proud. They pulled together in a surprising and difficult time to get through what could have been a chaotic and devastating disaster.

In commemoration, Shirts By Mail has printed t-shirts in limited quantities that proudly state "I Survived the New York City Blackout of 2003'. Available exclusively at www.shirtsbymail.com, these shirts speak highly of what New York City has become in this post 9/11 world.
