QRS Diagnostic Introduces its Re-designed OxiCard® Medical Device.

Software-based Pulse Oximeter Shrinks from a PC Card to a Compact Flash (CF) Card.

MINNEAPOLIS (PRWEB) - September 3, 2003 -- QRS Diagnostic, leader in innovative design and development of software-based medical devices contained in computer cards, announces the introduction of its re-designed OxiCard®, a pulse oximeter that provides instant, noninvasive measurement of pulse rates and oxygen saturation in the blood. The re-designed device is built into a Compact Flash (CF) Card.

QRS combines software technology and medical device technology to develop affordable, upgradeable and mobile diagnostic devices. Our new OxiCard takes advantage of Pocket PCs that integrate CF Cards, so it now works with a broader range of handheld PCs that do not require add-on expansion slots," says Spencer Lien, chief executive officer, QRS Diagnostic. In addition, OxiCards new fingertip sensor obtains accurate readings even from patients with weak blood flow in their fingers, and it functions effectively even in noisy environments."

OxiCard is one in the complete line of QRS computer card devices that turn off-the-shelf PCs and PDAs into powerful, portable diagnostic workstations. All QRS devices can communicate to the companys Office Medicä Integrated Data Management System (IDMS), providing clinicians instant access to physiological data anywhere on their networks. Office Medic can also interface easily with electronic medical record systems.
