CITY CANYONS RECORDS AND DAINTREE RAINFOREST LAND TRUST LAUNCH THE SECRETS OUT" TOUR

City Canyons Records and the Daintree Rainforest Land Trust announced today plans for a North American tour to both introduce a brilliant young talent, Jen Elliott, and to launch a campaign to raise awareness of the plight of one of the world's great Rainforests through a joint undertaking, the Daintree Rainforest Project.

City Canyons Records and the Daintree Rainforest Land Trust announced today plans for a North American tour beginning this fall and continuing into next spring to both launch THE SECRETS OUT, the debut CD of City Canyons recording artist Jen Elliott and her band Bluestruck and to to raise awareness and funds through the Daintree Rainforest Project to preserve the magnificent Australian Daintree Rainforest, the most ancient tropical rainforest on earth, home of the largest range of rare and threatened plants and animals in the world and the only place on earth where a rainforest runs down to meet a great tropical reef, the Great Barrier Reef.

City Canyons Records songwriters Anne Husick and Trebor Lloyd have created a special song for the Project, the haunting Children of the Rain" which will be offered this fall (September 30 release date) as a free bonus companion CD to THE SECRETS OUT at major online distributors and at independent record stores throughout the United States and which will be performed at every venue on THE SECRETS OUT tour. A significant portion of ticket receipts from venues and sales from THE SECRETS OUT will be earmarked for the Rainforest Project and the Rainforest Project will additionally receive a share of publishing from any commercial use of Children of the Rain".

Advance copies of THE SECRETS OUT have charted in select college top 40s throughout the country; Jen Elliott has been nationally acclaimed with reviewers announcing her as a new charismatic presence introducing a fresh and winning blend of music mixing rock, pop and blues, comparing her voice to Janis Joplins, Grace Slicks, Bonnie Raitts and her songwriting ability to Sheryl Crows. Shes been called the hottest emerging artist in New York. Through 2003, Jen has been recording and performing non-stop, appearing or soon to appear in such top New York venues as the The Village Underground, Shine, The Cutting Room, the C-Note, CBGBs Gallery and Coda and headlining at New Yorks 2003 Global Entertainment and Media Summit and at A Day In the Park, an outdoor concert in historic Battery Park.

In addition to a full concert by Ms. Elliott and Bluestruck featuring songs from THE SECRETS OUT as well as "Children of the Rain", interested venues will be offered an interactive seminar on the day of the concert to educate students or other interested persons about the Daintree Rainforest, its history, the peril the Rainforest presently faces, and how environmental concerns do not end at the boundaries of any particular country but cross all borders.

The Daintree Rainforest Land Trust is a fundraising venture created by the Australian Tropical Research Foundation specifically to repurchase and reforest the endangered land of the Daintree Tropical Rainforest in Australia. Repurchase and conservation of the Daintree will save the Daintree and the Great Barrier Reef.
