Claire R. Reeves, C.C.D.C., president and founder of Mothers Against Sexual Abuse, (MASA) has written a new book titled Childhood -- It Should Not Hurt, being touted as the most comprehensive tome available addressing the tragedy of child sexual abuse.

Mothers Against Sexual Abuse, (MASA), AgainstSexualAbuse.org is a national non-profit organization founded by Reeves in March of 1992. MASA has provided ongoing support for victims of child sexual abuse and non-offending parents of children who have been sexually abused. Important legislation has been designed and supported by MASA on both the state and federal levels. One of the most important was to eliminate the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution in cases of incest and child sexual abuse in the state of California. MASA supported Megans Law, federal legislation passed in 1995.

Reeves has appeared as a guest on numerous television and radio shows. A sought after speaker Reeves has lectured at universities, hospitals, schools, professional conferences, etc. The California Senate and Assembly both honored Reeves for her work on behalf of victims. Los Angeles County honored Reeves for her work on behalf of the people of Los Angeles. Governor Pete Wilson gave Reeves a special tribute in 1996. In 1997 Reeves was honored as a Woman of the Year for Los Angeles County.
