BlueTree Extends Wireless Data Leadership with New Generation of Cellular Modems Targeting Fixed Applications

New BT- 6000 Series Modems are designed specifically for Telemetry, SCADA, Business Continuity and Landline Replacement markets

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) April 1, 2008 -- BlueTree Wireless Data Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of rugged wireless modems, opens the CTIA show here this week by announcing a new generation of cellular data modems targeting the Telemetry, SCADA, Business Continuity and Landline Replacement markets. The modems in the new BlueTree 6000 series have been designed to meet the needs of the specific fixed cellular data application in which they serve. Each modem has application specific functionality to fulfill the demands of the market, and will allow BlueTree to offer its customers the most appropriate cellular modem for their specific application requirements.

The 6000 series modems will support both CDMA EVDO and GSM HSPA protocols, and standard features include metal enclosures, Class 1 Division 2 certification, AC adapter options, USB, Serial and Ethernet Ports, multiple mounting options including DIN Rail, built-in routing functionality and IP Pass-Thru. The 6000 series of modems include the following:

BT - 6600 Modem for business continuity, landline backup network connectivity, landline replacement, real - time video monitoring, and remote / temporary offices.

BT - 6601 Modem for telemetry / SCADA applications including solutions for the oil / gas, electric utilities, and waste / water management industries.

BT - 6601EB Modem for Telemetry/SCADA applications requiring integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE). The integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability enables easy installation where power outlets are impractical or not readily available.

BT - 6621 Modem features an integrated 5 Ethernet port layout and is designed specifically for applications requiring multiple Ethernet port connectivity. Key applications include business continuity, remote / temporary offices, and Internet access for multiple user or devices in the field.

Availability

The EVDO Rev A version of the 6000 series is currently in certification testing with all major North American CDMA carriers. Initial products are expected to be commercially available beginning in mid Q2 2008.
