Two 1930s Shirley Temple Films at auction! Two (2) full length 1930s feature films, Poor Little Rich Girl and Rebecca of Sunnybrooke Farms, have shown up on the secondary market. Each consists of 2 full reels. They were apparently left in an old theatre at some point and became part of this collection. Two 1930s Shirley Temple Films at auction! Two (2) full length 1930s feature films, Poor Little Rich Girl and Rebecca of Sunnybrooke Farms, have shown up on the secondary market. Each consists of 2 full reels. They were apparently left in an old theatre at some point and became part of this collection. These films along with a composition & an Ideal boxed Shirley Temple dolls are part of the Great American Doll Auction.
These Shirley items will join Barbie, Ken, Midge, Shirley Temple, Patsy, Mary Hoyer, Madem Alexander in the All American dolls & doll related items being offered in Sky Hawk Auctions upcoming doll auction. This auction will take place in Quakertown, PA on Saturday, September 27 at 10am. This is the personal collection of a single doll collector. These dolls have never seen the secondary market, as along the way, they were either purchased privately or directly from the retailer or factory. This collection has had excellent care over the years, as most of it is in its original like new condition.
This collection consists of several vintage Barbie, Ken, Midge, Skipper, Francie, Julia, Christy, & Stacy dolls of various styles and with various hair styles. Some of these vintage dolls are in their original boxes, including a #4 blond, a #4 brunette, and a #5 titan. There are about 150 vintage Barbie & related outfits, many are complete. Also over 150 pair of shoes & boots. Plus several lots of Barbie accessories.
Along with a composition and Ideal Shirley Temple dolls, are 2 full length 1930s movie theatre feature films, Poor Little Rich Girl and Rebecca of Sunnybrooke Farms. Each consists of 2 full reels. There are also several Shirley items in this auction.
Boxed dolls also include several Madame Alexander (including Sleeping Beauty), several Effanbee, a Mary Hoyer, a Talking Charmin Chatty Cathy, a Terri Lee Brownie, a Voge Wee Imp, an American Character Betsy McCall, and Ideal dolls, which came directly from the factory (father worked for Ideal).
An Arranbee Patsy doll is in its original carrying trunk along with several outfits. Assorted Nancy Ann Story Book dolls are among the loose dolls.
Among the more unusual doll related items in this collection include an old wicker rocker, a tin type photo of a girl holding a doll, old books, buttons, trinkets, advertisements, and other paperwork.
