realMethods Further Integrates with JUnit Alpharetta, GA. September 15th, 2003 - realMethods announces the release of version 2.5, which now includes a complete JUnit Test suite. Alpharetta, GA (PRWEB) September 16, 2003The realMethods Framework is typically involved in supporting an entire J2EE application. This being the case, a valuable means of testing an application is to deploy it and put it through its paces, thereby putting the Framework through its paces. This is why we have always shipped the Proof of Concept application with each version of the Framework." said Steven Randolph, founder and CTO of realMethods. Recently, however, we have heard from many users requesting a JUnit Test suite accompany the Framework, so we have obliged. Being part of the open source community, realMethods seeks to leverage the best of breed in open source tools and APIs. JUnit is the Java industry standard test API, and is also hosted as an open source project on SourceForge.net."
This new test suite puts Framework components and services through a battery of tests, exercising most of the core functionality typically leveraged by an application that sits atop the Framework. The suite also allows a developer to quickly verify a Framework component that has been extended or enhanced.
To compliment the test suite, realMethods GUI-based code generator (AIB version 3.2) is also capable of producing JUnit test classes to simplify the execution and validation of all generated application CRUD functionality. As in previous versions, all generated code leverages core components and services found in the realMethods Framework.
realMethods continues to support the Framework open source project with Professional Services that include a variety of support, training, and consulting options. For those requiring a fully warranted J2EE framework, realMethods also offers a commercial license. ###
