JESSICA PAQUETTE OPENS JPA TO AMBUSH MAKEOVER" NATIONAL TV SHOW

Hit Show Brings Fashion Victim" for Makeover to Paquettes Boutique in Chesterfield

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI (PRWEB) September 22 2003--Jessica Paquette, founder and proprietress of the fashion boutique JPa in suburban Chesterfield, was engaged as a style consultant for the new, national hit Fox TV show Ambush Makeover" when its producers brought an unsuspecting victim" to JPa for a complete fashion makeover videotaped for a national audience.

Cathy Jarus, an attractive 26-year-old student at Forest Park Community College, was ambushed" by the shows producers last week while eating lunch between classes, and was later whisked to JPa at 134 Chesterfield Towne Centre to meet Paquette, a former model who opened her boutique in February to rave reviews.

With a big smile, Jarus said, I guess my wardrobe needs some help." As TV lights blazed and video cameras whirred, and the shows director barked orders for action" and cut," Paquette selected new fashions for Jarus from designers in Paris, London, New York and Los Angeles as Ambush Makeover" hostess Nichole Williams offered bubbling commentary.

This is exciting for me and lots of fun, but I think its even more exciting for Cathy Jarus," said Paquette between camera shots as Jarus changed from one stylish outfit to another in JPas private fitting rooms.

After two hours of trying on smart new dresses, blouses, pants, gowns and jewelry for every occasion, with nods of approval from Paquette, Jarus finally settled on a black bustier tube with a pink sash by Notice and flaired, black-and-silver trousers by Haley Bob of Paris. For subdued sparkle, Jarus selected an ensemble of black and silver jewelry by the designer C.J. Sardi. Then Paquette surprised her with a pair of elegant new shoes by Yellow Box. Ambush Makeover" also gave Jarus a new hairstyle and makeup at the St. Louis salon Studio Branca.

Jarus looked like a million dollars. The fashion victims next stop after JPa? The place where she first met her husband, Vince, years ago -- to surprise him with her new look and Ambush Makeovers" video crew.

Ambush Makeover" became an instant hit when it debuted this summer on Fox TV affiliates nationwide. As with Cathy Jarus, the 30-minute show relies on style experts such as Paquette to help transform unsuspecting people from top to bottom. The show airs Monday-Friday in St. Louis at 1:30 p.m. on KTVI-TV Fox 2.
