New York, NY (PRWEB) March 31, 2008 -- Italian Artist Lucio Salvatore "stands for the environment" at the International Furniture and Design Fair in Milan.

Lucio Salvatore will exhibit his new paintings -- a denounce of the violence against the environment -- at MOBJECTS+ART, the event that will open the most important design fair in the world.

Salvatore's latest work is committed to witness, in his unique style, the tragedy of the destruction of the environment constantly perpetuated in our cities, oceans and forests.

"In the last two years," Salvatore says, "I have been painting inspired by the colors of the Tyrrhenian coast and by the immensity of the Brazilian 'mata atlantica'; and every time that I approached the canvas, the deep blues and greens always involuntarily ended up being crossed by violent stains of blood; only at the end of the process of creation I understood where this violence was coming from: the absolute beauty of nature is suffering for the open wound that constantly bleeds in our hearts."

Salvatore is presenting his large scale paintings (200x200cm) for MOBJECTS+ART, in collaboration with Architect Matteo Fantoni, who is opening in the heart of Milan the first Laboratory of creative Ideas and products of Design with an innovative and multicultural approach.

In fact while Salvatore's artistically grows up in New York, Rio De Janeiro and Italy where he works in the Montecassino Valley, Matteo Fantoni comes back to Milan after a 15 year collaboration with Norman Foster and Frank Gehry in the realization of international projects like Chesa Futura and The Murezzan in St. Moritz, the Motoryacht Izanami, the Sloop Dark Shadow, the Masterplan of Santa Giulia in Milano and the Reichstag in Berlin.

MOBJECT+ART -- Reception April 16, 6 p.m., via Rosales 5 Milano.
