The Honey Shine Foundation, an organization founded by Tracy Mourning, wife of famed basketball player Alonzo Mourning, will host REAL ILLUSIONS: Mass Media and the Youth Experience," a panel discussion on the effects of images in the mass media on todays youth, with special emphasis on the fashion, sports, and entertainment industrys roles in the socialization of minority youth. The panel discussions will he held on October 9, 2003 at the Armour J. Blackburn University Center on the campus of Howard University from 3:00pm-6:00pm.
