Pottle will visit each school and speak with nearly 2,000 children in total about his experiences writing and publishing DreamQuest, and the value of perseverance and hard work. He will also be signing copies of DreamQuest and showing items from the new line of DreamQuest merchandise. Students at all schools will be able to purchase DreamQuest at 30% off the cover price.

The visits to Prairie Middle School and Overland High School will be particularly meaningful, as both Pottle and DeGuzman attended school there. Pottle began writing DreamQuest in sixth grade and wrote the majority of the work while a student at OHS. DeGuzman was the recipient of the 1997 Lars Chu award for artistic excellence in an OHS Senior.

About DreamQuest:

DreamQuest is a coming of age fantasy epic set in the mythical land of Daranor. The story chronicles the journeys of young Tarthur and his friend Derlin as they seek to understand Tarthurs enigmatic dream. Along the way, they must overcome many conflicts. They face many grave enemies, from the Death Lord himself to their local towns pudgy cook Judith, who is still upset from that 'unfortunate pastry incident a few years back. Many different characters narrate DreamQuest, and several interesting subplots are all woven together into a coherent whole. DreamQuest is primarily a high fantasy novel, but its unique blend of humor, military strategy, romance, religion, and self-discovery will appeal to a wide variety of readers.
