Boston, MA (PRWEB) April 10, 2008 According to a recent member survey at WorkItMom.com, the leading online community for working mothers, spending time at a spa, receiving a spa gift certificate and having some alone time are the top three gifts busy working moms would like to receive for Mother's Day. In response to the question of what gifts would you most like to receive for Mother's Day, 22 percent of respondents chose "A half day at a spa," 16 percent chose "Several quiet hours to spend by myself," and 15 percent chose "A few extra hours of sleep." The other options included for this question were "Someone to do household chores for a day," (15 percent), "A handmade card from my kids," (14 percent), and "Fun date with my significant other" (10 percent). When answering the question of what tangible gifts would you like to get for Mother's Day, 30 percent of respondents chose "Gift certificate to a spa," followed by 14 percent who chose "Jewelry," and 13 percent who chose "Books or CDs." While working moms do want a bit of a break from their busy lives by going to a spa or having some alone time, many shared that some of their favorite Mother's Day gifts have been cards made by their kids, breakfast in bed, a dinner prepared by their husband and kids, or just a fun outing with their family. Fifty-eight percent of survey respondents said that it is very important to them that their significant other remember Mother's Day and recognize them, with 35 percent saying "It would be nice." Only 7 percent said that it's not that important to them. Nearly 70 percent of working moms said that they don't expect Mother's Day to be celebrated at the office and consider it a family holiday.
