Jataayu Software today announced that it is working with Microsoft to deliver its Multimedia Messaging --MMSC and MMS Client- technologies on the Microsoft Windows Server platform and Windows Mobile-based devices. Multimedia Messaging is being hailed as the "killer" application on next generation mobile platforms as it builds upon the advantages offered by simple SMS based communication services.

Microsofts Windows Server platform is increasingly being adopted in Telco carrier environments in highly available and scalable deployments. Jataayu now extends availability of their MMSC on the Windows platform to provide Mobile Carriers a high-capacity service platform. The powerful multimedia capabilities, such as multiple media Codecs, provided by the Windows Server platform is successfully leveraged by Jataayu to provide operators with advanced transcoding functionality and complete end-to-end offerings for rapidly launching the MMS service.
