His new musical Will A Real Man Please Stand Up starring Clifton Powell and Erica Atkins-Campbell will take center stage at the Music Hall in Detroit,Mi debuting to a nearly sold out audience.

SOUTHFIELD -- Matthew Knowles, manager for R&B starlets Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams and the multi-platinum group Destinys Child, is premiering his latest business venture in Motown, Tuesday, October 28,2003. Under his management and production company, Music World Entertainment, Knowles will be debuting the new inspirational musical, Will A Real Man Please Stand Up, at the Music Hall, located at 350 Madison in Detroit, Mi. This is the first leg of the national tour.

    Will A Real Man Please Stand Up is packed with some of the most talented musical artists and actors today. The cast is led by Erica Atkins-Campbell, from the platinum selling contemporary gospel group Mary Mary, and actor Clifton Powell, from the films, Brothers, Next Friday, Rush Hour and currently, Civil Brand. Co-starring in the musical are R&B superstar and member of New Edition and LSG, Johnny Gill, Stellar Award and Lady of Soul award winner Terri Britton-Brown of the Gospel group Trini Tee 5:7 and R&B crooners Christopher Williams from the film New Jack City and Sean Levert from the group Levert. Also co-starring in the musical is Partesha Elly, member of the acclaimed gospel choir The Kurt Carr Singers.

Written by new playwright Dwight B., the musical is based on his definition of a good man. According to Dwight B., a real man is one whom does not take his significant other for granted, is accountable for his actions, provides for his family, and is committed to his marriage".

Will A Real Man Please Stand Up, focuses on the story of two broken homes, their struggles and the redeeming power of God. This play was designed to remind audience members of the true virtues of marriage and that the union survives by Keeping God In (KGI) the relationship, not by Easing God Out (EGO) of it. Told through witty comedy, original inspirational songs and strong three-dimensional characters, this production will have Metro Detroiters talking.

This musical is one that the entire family can enjoy with a special guest appearance by award winning Destinys Child member and solo artist, Kelly Rowland.
