Vantiis Consulting and eBig Team Up to Expand Bay Area Tech Labor Market

Vantiis Consulting is able to charge a simple 5% Finder’s Fee to recruit and place all manners of high-tech talent, as compared to typical 50 - 90 % markups. eBig will help Vantiis Consulting build awareness of the service in return for sponsorship.

(PRWEB) October 16, 2003

eBig, the San Francisco East Bay’s leading non-profit technology forum, dedicated to helping its community benefit from opportunities created by technology, today announced that Vantiis Consulting, Inc. has become a new Platinum sponsor. Vantiis Consulting is the first “open-source” consulting agency – by utilizing a highly efficient recruiting process, little to no overhead, and by allowing open access to its recruiting resources for all of its 3,500 Members, the company is able to charge a simple 5% Finder’s Fee to recruit and place all manners of high-tech talent, avoiding the usual 50 to 90% mark-ups of outsourced labor.

“eBig is absolutely dedicated to helping our constituency find work in these tough economic times. We were impressed by the Vantiis Consulting solution, and in return for their sponsorship we’re glad to help build awareness among our community that their solution exists, and hopefully get companies to hire more of our members due to reduced labor costs,” stated Kristen Kuhns, eBIG’s Executive Director.

“eBig is a great organization with a lot of potential for further growth. We’re glad to help them in any way we can,” Scott Van Valkenburgh, President of Vantiis Consulting, commented. “Our missions are very similar – every dollar that does not go to a higher cost broker can be used to employ more tech workers, thus expanding the labor market and helping eBig’s 1,700 members and their broader constituency.”

The sponsorship will be used to expand eBig’s East Bay technology programs, including more special interest group meetings, networking events, employment activities, speakers, workshops, and other increased services, and will also be used to help the relatively new organization raise further funding.
