Game Developer SieEnt Selected for Next Stage of Project Skyway’s Tech Accelerator Program Minneapolis-based, female-focused startup competes to be one of 10 ‘Skywalkers’ Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) June 07, 2011 Independent video game developer SieEnt (http://www.sieent.com) is excited to announce that the company will move on to the second phase of tech accelerator Project Skyway’s inaugural cycle. Later this month, SieEnt will compete with 23 other tech companies from Minnesota, California and New York for the opportunity to participate in Project Skyway’s 3-month incubation program. SieEnt is one of two game development companies selected as Project Skyway finalists. The studio was founded in 2010 by entrepreneurs Jacqueline Urick and Elizabeth Tupper with the unique goal of creating games that will appeal to and empower women of all ages. Their first project, a multi-platform role-playing game that will release episodically, is in early stages of development. “We’re honored that Project Skyway chose us for this amazing opportunity,” says SieEnt’s CEO Jacqueline Urick. “We’re thrilled that we can help grow both the tech and gaming startup communities here in Minnesota, and are humbled by the thought that we may serve as role models for other women entrepreneurs.” Following Project Skyway’s final selection process, SieEnt hopes to win one of 10 available slots in the tech accelerator program to advance their pursuit of Series A funding.
