New Book redefines our perception of Psychology, Religion, and the Law.

The book analyzes the evolution of the human mind through the primordial, animal, and social stages of evolution. It defines the evolutionary basis of religious sin and evil, the foundations of psychology, and the basis of the law. The book also defines philosophies of living and the colonization of the human race.

In his new book The Evolution of the Mind", Richard Townsend demonstrates that psychology is slowly replacing religion as the arbiter of ethics and morality. He shows that the sin and evil of religion is slowly being replaced by the abnormality of psychology. He additionally correlates the religious concepts of God and the Devil to the psychological concepts of normal and abnormal. His analysis is detailed but the basis of his proof is relatively simple: God is good and being good is normal. The Devil is bad and being bad is abnormal.

Townsend asserts the basic foundation of ethics and morality still remains the same. In both psychology and religion, and also in the law, we are still dealing with the individuals ability to control his or her primordial and animal mind impulses. This is the ability to control primordial mind sexuality along with the animal mind attributes of aggression, viciousness, cunning, treachery, greed and so on. On the other side of the ledger, Townsend asserts that the foundations of virtue, normalcy, and righteousness are represented by the individuals adherence to the social mind attributes of love, respect, consideration, compassion, concern and care for others, and so on.

To support his theorization, Townsend groups his mind attributes into Primordial, Animal and Social mind categories. He then uses these categories to develop a theory of human social evolution. He carefully builds the case that his attribute groupings came into being to serve different survival needs during the primordial, animal and social stages of evolution. He then convincingly shows that the conflict between these presocial and the social mind attributes is the basis of our ethics and morality, our religion, our psychology, and our law.

To demonstrate his point, Townsend shows that uncontrolled primordial mind sexuality is immoral. He shows it is also sinful, abnormal and in most cases unlawful. He further shows the same is true of the unrestrained display of the animal mind attributes of aggression, viciousness, and so on. While the display of his social mind attributes of love, compassion, and so on is considered normal and virtuous.

Townsend uses combinations of his mind attributes to define individual philosophies of living. These range from pure primordial animalism at one end of the scale to extreme socialism or religious radicalism at the other. In between the two extremes, he defines a broad range of philosophies that are considered normal, acceptable, and virtuous.

In some of his more startling conclusions, Townsend concludes that the human race is undergoing a process of colonization much like a hive of bees or a colony of ants. He demonstrates that the Democratic political movement, along with socialism, and communism are philosophies driven by the social mind colonization factor. And that Karl Marks and other socialist and communist advocates are pawns of this evolutionary colonization process. As are religious zealots and terrorists.

On the other side of the scale, Townsend concludes that Republican and similar political movements are reactionary movements driven by the desire for individual independence and freedom from the same colonization process. These movements are the independent drive to retain individual freedom of choice versus the socialist drive to perfect the colonization process.
