Los Angeles, CA. (PRWEB) October 27, 2003-- Urbanfilmpremiere.com, a new web site and promotions company dedicated to film, music, and lifestyle is on-line NOW. The site will offer commentary, film reviews, tickets to films and music events, a Headshot Gallery, Short Films, Trailers and more. The site is HOT. Its like a refreshing breath of fresh air says one subscriber," at a recent screening of Out of Time in Washington DC. The company targets NYC, LA, Chicago, DC, Atlanta, Dallas, Miami and other urban cities in the US and parts of Europe.

Currently, Urbanfilmpremiere.com has distributed 23 issues of UFP WEEKLY, a HTML formatted newsletter that allows subscribers to win DVD's, movie tickets, CD's and tickets to special events. The newsletter was initially published in April 2003, and has been well received by subscribers and companies seeking to access UFPs audience. The newsletter has also featured interviews with the likes of B2K founder, Chris Stokes, Hollywood photographer, Tim Alexander and "Girlfriends" producer, Mara Brock Akil. The newsletter has featured ads and promos for ABSOLUT VODKA, Miramax, 20th Century Fox, Fox Searchlight, Artisan Entertainment, Artist Direct Records, Clubbintv.com and Grassroots Entertainment.

UFP is also partnered with Billboard winner DJ FINK of www.clubbintv.com. UFP provides marketing and support for a six-city acoustic soul music tour entitled ABSOLUT SOULFUL SUNDAY, which was created by DJ FINK and is sponsored by ABSOLUT Vodka. My goal is to find the artists that preserve the essence of real music, whether it is rap, soul, funk, jazz or blues. UFP was a good match for my mission. Shelby and I share a passion for music and we are trying to keep it moving forward as opposed to digressing," says DJ FINK from his Chicago based studio.

The company and web concept is the brainchild of Shelby J. Jones. Mr. Jones considers the site and company a work in progress. "I wanted to create a web community that was organic in nature by allowing the audience to be 'extremely' interactive with what we do. When we launch, we will have various pieces of content for viewers to see and we will update the site twice per week. I am also excited that we will offer a Headshot Gallery for actors to show the world what they are about," says Jones. Mr. Jones is a former Legislative Associate at the Motion Picture Association of America where he worked in State Legislative Affairs for 7 years. Asked about his experience there, Jones says, Working at the MPAA was an amazing ride. I worked for Vans Stevenson and Amy Isbell and learned a lot from them about how the industry works as well as how to be professional. I also considered myself lucky to work for our CEO, Jack Valenti - his tenacity and good will were very motivational for me. I treasured all I learned and started this company as a way to stay in film and to laterally move into other areas like music and lifestyle choices for consumers. Luckily, I was introduced to web-designer, Hemant Chauhan, who could see what I was imagining for the site. His work has been amazing." Mr. Jones is regularly invited to speak on panels and still teaches tennis for what he calls, stress-relief." After competing in local tournaments, I started teaching and have been each summer for 7 years. It provides balance to my life as I move this company forward." Mr. Jones is a member of the United States Professional Tennis Registry.

Recently, Urbanfilmpremiere completed a three-city tour (New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago) with Tony, Toni, Tone front man, D'Wayne Wiggins and DJ FINK from Clubbintv.com. This past summer, UFP provided its promotional support and completed the music series with Arrested Development. In addition, the company recently provided subscribers with an opportunity to win the new SCARFACE DVD, from Universal Studios, movie tickets to Denzel Washingtons OUT OF TIME from MGM and KILL BILL from Miramax.

Hemant Chauhan and Shelby J. Jones designed the site and newsletter.
