Why One Third of Web Businesses Will Fail!
There are over ONE HUNDRED MILLION websites now on the Internet -- each one launched full of the hopes and dreams of their owners! Over one third of these sites will never make money, worse they will LOSE money!
It doesnt have to be this way," says Wendy McClelland, Internet Marketing Consultant from Abbotsford, British Columbia, and owner of the award winning Biz Resource Site (www.bizresource.com). If business owners knew just a few basic keys to doing business on the web they would be much more likely to succeed -- but unfortunately most dont know where to begin when creating their web based business. Even MORE unfortunate is the fact that many entrepreneurs get bad advice from people in the Internet business."
Here are just 6 of Wendy McClellands web success" tips:
1. Create a website that downloads quickly! One of the biggest mistakes people tend to make is creating a site that takes too long to load....thinking that visitors want pretty pictures." Most visitors stay about 15 seconds -- if they cant see everything they will move on to the next site!
2. Change your site frequently. Sites need to be kept 'fresh with new content on a regular basis. Dont expect people to come back again and again if you dont change anything!"
3. Make sure EVERYTHING that leaves your office has your web address on it! (This includes invoices, fax cover sheets, business cards and even the shirts worn by delivery people!)
4. Start a FREE email newsletter that people can sign up for on EVERY page of your website. This gives you a way to stay in touch with your website visitors on a regular basis.
5. Submit articles youve written to other email newsletters and websites. By 'seeding the web with your name and web address you become more well known and generate more traffic to your site.
6. Join online discussion groups and contribute useful information. By offering assistance to others on the list you position yourself as a 'expert -- this causes people to visit your site and seek you out when they need your services.
