The article appeared in the February 2003 issue of Law Enforcement Technology. The Voice Handcuffs" article earned high marks for creativity, clarity and relevance.

According to the LACP, the 2003 Spotlight Awards Publicity Materials Competition drew more than 800 entries, an unprecedented number of materials representing a broad range of industries and organizational sizes...competition was exceptionally tough." Materials were judged in peer-level competitions based on narrative content quality, visual content quality, creativity, message clarity and message relevance.
