aerobis Limited TO Launch aerobis | Train Social on MySpace

Aerobis brings a full-blown sport-route planner to the MySpace Platform that lets users create, edit and share their favorite sport-routes around the globe.

Cologne, Germany (PRWEB) April 18, 2008 -- aerobis Limited today announced that it will launch aerobis | Train Social (http://www.myspace.com/aerobis) on MySpace, the world's most popular social network. Aerobis brings a full-blown sport-route planner to the MySpace Platform that lets users create, edit and share their favorite sport-routes around the globe. Empowered by MySpace's newly announced Developer Platform (http://developer.myspace.com), aerobis Limited was able to easily build, test, and ultimately deploy aerobis | Train Social.

Aerobis makes it easy to track the distance of every sport-route a user ever ran/rode. There is no need to buy a GPS device because all data is calculated by aerobis. Users get the exact distance and even height profiles for every route. It is completely integrated with MySpace and users don´t need to sign-up anywhere else. Additionally aerobis lets users collaborate with others from different social networks without actually leaving MySpace.

MySpace first introduced their Developer Platform site on February 5, 2008 beginning a one month application development period allowing companies including aerobis Limited, time to build and test their applications in a secure environment before going live to the MySpace community.

On March 13, 2008, MySpace launched the public beta of the Application Gallery (http://apps.myspace.com), enabling broader testing of approved applications by allowing public installation. MySpace members can now discover and add new applications from a variety of categories, including aerobis | Train Social, to both their home and profile pages.

"Bringing aerobis | Train Social to MySpace users will add a lot of value to every MySpace user that pursues an active lifestyle," said Elmar Schumacher, CEO, aerobis Limited. "Through aerobis´ advanced map display technology, discovering new routes is now easy and a lot of fun for everyone."

As with all MySpace Developer Platform applications, aerobis | Train Social will be able to safely access publicly available profile information including a user's friend list, interests, photos & albums, video, as well as status & mood. aerobis | Train Social will have real estate in five places within MySpace including:

•    A MySpace application profile (users can "friend" the apps)

•    Access to embed applications on the user homepage (inward facing--for you to see)

•    Access to embed applications on profiles (outward facing widget--for friends to see)

•    An application gallery listing

•    A canvas page

"Although the MySpace Developer Program is still in its early stages, it has been a breeze to adapt aerobis to work with the MySpace platform. I´ve been amazed by the support from the developer community as well as the responsiveness from the MySpace employees," said Elmar Schumacher, CEO, aerobis Limited. "I am really looking forward to seeing the MySpace Developer Platform mature and enable even deeper and richer integration with aerobis and other external applications."
