Northampton, Mass. Steakhouse Offering Three Nights of Favorite Malbec Wines

Caminito Steakhouse, Northampton's premier steakhouse, is offering three nights of Malbec wines with perfect food pairings starting April 29.

Northampton, MA (PRWEB) April 20, 2008 -- Argentina's most popular grape, the Malbec, will soon be the star attraction at Northampton's Caminito Steakhouse. They are featuring "Three Nights of Our Favorite Malbecs" paired to perfection with three tasty courses for $50. The wine and food pairings will be available for this special price from April 30 to May 1, 2008.

The three course menu will be savory, and different Malbecs will be offered to pair with each. Caminito has chosen three very differently structured Malbecs to go with three different types of red meats, which are cooked the Argentine way, over their famous wood-burning grill. Customers can enjoy the following three courses with carefully chosen wine pairings:

* 1st Course - Luigi Bosca Reserva 2005 - Lamb chops: This is a perfect leadoff Malbec, round in body, with a good fruit concentration, soft sweet tannins, not at all over powering. Grilled tender lamb chops served with roasted corn and red pepper polenta, finished with a Malbec and rosemary reduction.

* 2nd Course -Alamos Selección - Filet Mignon: This is a classically structured Malbec perfect for a 2nd course. Good balance of strength and softness, smoky aromas and flavors at first, followed by violet aromatics, and a deep lush finish. A classic Malbec is paired with the classic steak house cut, tender Filet Mignon of beef, grilled and served simply with an asparagus and roasted garlic risotto, and finished with Argentine reggiano cheese

* 3rd Course - Terra Rosa Old Vine - Bison Ribeye: This is one intense and powerful Malbec! There would be no other place for it except as the final course; strong, smoky, robust, earthy flavors abound in this Malbec produced from ancient vines. To properly compliment this intense wine, Caminito decided to go with Bison, which in nature is very lean but with a pleasant gaminess, differentiating it from beef. The ribeye will be grilled and served with a portabella/veal demi-glace.

About Caminito Steakhouse:

Caminito is a traditional steakhouse with Argentinean influences. At Caminito, steaks are the restaurant's specialty. Caminito grills top quality, hand cut Black Angus beef the way the gauchos do, over an all natural wood fire. Caminito Steakhouse takes it to another level by burning exclusively apple and cherry wood for added flavor and aroma. They offer many of the traditional steakhouse cuts such as Filet Mignon, NY Strip, and Ribeye. They also offer less familiar Argentinean cuts including bone-in Shortrib Strips and Skirt Steak.

Caminito offers a full beer and wine menu boasting an extensive Argentine-inspired wine list. They specialize in top-shelf Malbecs but also serve an array of other top-shelf wines including various reds, whites, sparkling, and combinations. Their steaks and wines are chosen to be truly unique and you'll have a hard time finding many of their choices anywhere else...at least not the way they cook them! Everything from bread to desserts is homemade at Caminito.
