Environmental Litigation and Insurance- Post 9/11 : Every CEO and Board Director needs to know to preserve their options and prepare for the risks related to environmental contamination and other fallout from the WTC disaster.

Dr. Richard J. Lee is the President of RJ Lee Group, Inc. For more than 20 years corporate, legal and governmental organizations have utilized RJ Lee Group’s resources on projects ranging from environmental analysis relating to Desert Storm and forensic analysis on the USS Iowa explosion to materials analysis of space shuttle debris and contaminants resulting from the World Trade Center disaster.

Dr. Lee has testified as an expert witness in Federal and State courts, and has directed major research programs covering a wide variety of technical disciplines.    

Dr. Lee is also a member of the Microscopy Society of America, and the American Physical Society. Dr. Lee has written several book chapters and published in refereed journals. His Ph.D. is in Theoretical Solid State Physics from Colorado State University (1970). He has served as an advisor to the Environmental Protection Agency, American Iron Ore Association, American Mining Congress and National Stone Association. Prior to joining RJ Lee Group, Inc. in 1985, Dr. Lee was an associate professor at Purdue University and later held the position of Head of the Physics Section at the U.S. Steel Technical Center.

Dr. Lee will be joined on stage for this presentation, by experts from Deloitte: Timothy Edelbach, CPA, Director of Business Insurance Consulting and both Marc Cipolone and Brian McMearty, Senior Managers for Deloitte's Construction Dispute Consulting Practice. Deloitte and RJLee Group have worked closely together on major insurance claims related to property damage and lost rental value suffered at the World Trade Center complex, including the Twin Towers and surrounding buildings, as a result of the 9/11 events.
