Vertex Standard Announces The VX-4100 and The VX-4200 - Two New Mobile Series Offering Continuous Wideband Coverage

Vertex Standard USA reaches another significant product development milestone with the introduction of two new series of mobile radios, the VX-4100 and the VX-4200. We have designed continuous wideband coverage for our land mobile radio customers, particularly for the growing Public Safety sector," says Scott Henderson, Executive VP of Vertex Standard USA.

CYPRESS, CA (PRWEB) 11.06.03 -- Vertex Standard USA reaches another significant product development milestone with the introduction of two new series of mobile radios, the VX-4100 and the VX-4200. We have designed continuous wideband coverage for our land mobile radio customers, particularly for the growing Public Safety sector," says Scott Henderson, Executive VP of Vertex Standard USA.

Both series of these compact radios offer exceptional wideband coverage in both the VHF (continuous from 134 - 174 MHz) and UHF (continuous 450 -- 512 MHz) models. These band-specific frequency ranges can be programmed and used without any retuning. This wider coverage allows for programming of adjacent agencies and cities which helps in mutual aid and disaster response.

The VX-4200 Series Mobiles offers users 501 channels (managed in up to 32 Groups) while the VX-4100 Series Mobiles provide one Group of 8 channels. Both Series come equipped with 50W (VHF) and 45W (UHF) power output to get the users message through, even under the most demanding of public safety operating conditions.

The trends toward increasing flexibility and enhanced capabilities are both addressed in these new mobiles," says Richard Galvan, Product Development Manager for the Land Mobile Division of Vertex Standard. Advanced features include the ability to encode and decode 2-tone paging, which is widely used for fire and emergency response."

Additionally, audio companding is standard and improves the clarity of the audio even in a narrowband system. These radios also offer 5/6 tone signaling which allows for over-the-air Stun / Kill / Revive of the radio. Remote monitoring, or the ability to command the radio to transmit on its own, is another enhanced feature of both series.

Both the VX-4100 and VX-4200 Mobile Series have a built-in emergency microphone embedded in the units front panel. Several plug-in and programmable signaling options such as Rolling Code or Simple Inversion Encryption, Digital Voice Storage and MDC1200 ANI Encoder are available.

A full line of accessories complements these new mobiles and both the VX-4100 and the VX-4200 models are backed with a 3-year warranty from Vertex Standard.

The Land Mobile Division of Vertex Standard USA is headquartered in Cypress, California and has been a recognized leader in the manufacturing of land mobile radios, repeaters and accessories for over 40 years.
