The Southern Family Survival Guide Brings Peace of Mind Online

www.TheSouthernFamilySurvivalGuide.com launches its new site to offer eBooks essential for disaster preparedness and survival. Business owner Brad Russell explains how to prepare, provide, and survive in the event of a worst-case scenario.

Booneville, MS (PRWEB) April 23, 2008 -- In the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, Brad Russell dedicated himself to providing people with the information necessary to survive under the harsh conditions that occur during a disaster. With his eBook complete, he launched www.TheSouthernFamilySurvivalGuide.com, offering a selection of survival guides and practical knowledge to help preparedness-minded people brace themselves for harsh circumstances.

"I heard from several different people that gave interviews, saying people were just sitting in their offices and thinking everything was going to be okay -- with the mentality that nothing was going to happen to them -- until it was too late," explains Brad, a survival expert who has made a habit of learning the skills that allow him to live off the land and get by on the barest essentials. "I saw all of the thousands of people stranded by Hurricane Katrina with no help, no food, no water, just waiting for somebody to come and help them. This really started out to be just a book, and then I got into different ways of getting my book out there for people to see, which is why I chose to use an eBook."

Brad's guidebooks range from worst case scenario guides to mind and body preparedness manuals, tackling an array of topics to help the average person steel themselves for a disaster. He has also preformatted two of his books for use on eBook readers and Apple iPhones, making them optimally portable. "I'm just trying to help people," explains Brad. "You can look at the prices of anything on my web site, and there is nothing that is out of range for anybody to purchase; I've made it available for everybody." Brad has also begun a blog at www.TheSouthernFamilySurvivalGuide.net, using it to get a better idea of what subjects his customers would like him to cover and giving additional information on topics covered in his manuals.

"I am trying to get people to see that they just can't simply buy a backpack full of a day's supplies and think that everything is okay," explains Brad. "If they don't know what to do with those supplies, then it might as well be a backpack full of rocks. There's more to it than just purchasing something and thinking that everything's gonna be okay. You have to be mentally prepared."
