The discussion will focus on practical and real-life steps in implementing and institutionalizing the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL). ITIL is the worlds most popular compendium of best practices in IT service management and Thursdays speaker is one of the areas leading experts on ITIL implementation. Attendees will understand the mechanics of getting started using ITIL to build world-class capability and can join in the discussion of lessons learned during ITIL startup.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, November 13th at The Atrium at Meadowlark Gardens, 9750 Meadowlark Gardens Court in Vienna, Virginia. There is no charge for members of the itSMF. There is a small door charge of $5 for non-members of the itSMF. The venue, food and refreshments are sponsored by Gefion, Inc.

Event Directions
The Atrium at Meadowlark Gardens is located off of Beulah Road, between Route 7 and Route 123, south of the Dulles Access Road.
From I-495, take Exit 47A onto Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) towards Tysons Corner. Drive 5 miles west, turn left onto Beulah Road and drive 1 mile to the park entrance on the right (just after you cross over the Toll Road). Park in the Atrium parking lot to your right.
From I-66, exit onto Routh 123 North to Vienna (Exit #60). After approximately 4.3 miles, turn left onto Beulah Road and follow it approximately 2 miles to the four-way stop. Stay to the left to continue onto Beulah Road for 0.5 miles to the park entrance on the left. Park in the Atrium parking lot to your right.
