International Finance Bank Invests in Restoring Joy in the Lives of Foster Kids Company President and Employees set aside day to create safe, fun environment for His House Children's Home. Miami, FL (PRWEB) April 25, 2008 -- International Finance Bank (IFB) president and employees will take a break from their daily norm this Friday. They will turn away their focus from financial portfolios to construct something equally as important: a home for children. The company has set aside April 25th to volunteer at His House Children's Home (HHCH), a nonprofit, faith-based social services agency for abused, neglected or drug-exposed children. The IFB group will furnish and decorate a cottage that will house 12 at-risk boys who call HHCH home. Relying on the support of volunteers, fosters, event and corporate sponsors, HHCH provides residences, education and security for more than 250 at-risk children in the Miami-Broward region through on-site cottages and a wide network of fosters and house parents.
IFB employees will repair and refurnish a cottage by assembling and arranging furniture, decorating and accessorizing walls and floor, and landscaping the outside area to create a fun, comfortable, safe home setting for 12 boys and 2 house parents. The company will also be covering expenses for the renovation, purchasing everything from household appliances and sheets, to wall hangings and pillows.
Nelson V. Alvarado, President/CEO states "The best way to invest in our community is to start with our children; the future of our society. At IFB, we take this commitment very seriously and our team is proud to participate and make a difference." IFB's board will play an active role in this exciting effort. Led by Mr. Alvarado, Francisco Roche, Chairman of the Board, Carlos Garcia, Vice Chairman, John A. Rivera, Director, James T. Barker, Director, Walter L. Revell, Director, and Niurka R. Piedra, Secretary will all lead by example in "building a future" by being the first ones to commence the project Friday April 25th, 2008.
