Unlimi-Tech Software today announced that it will be offering a sneak preview of FileCatalyst Web Workflow at booth #362 at Interop 2008 in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas, April 29-May 1. At the booth, the company will showcase FileCatalyst Web Workflow v4.0, anticipated for commercial release in May of 2008.

FileCatalyst® Web Workflow combines the patent pending FileCatalyst® acceleration technology with a web interface, offering upload and tracking of digital content as it moves from source to sink. Using nothing more than a web browser, end users move large files while benefiting from state-of-the art acceleration technology that moves data 100x faster than conventional FTP. The enhanced user interface makes it easy to add meta-data which becomes part of the job jacket in the system.

Version 4.0 of Web Workflow introduces the Group setting which allows files and meta-data to be shared between members of a team. The newly introduced Automatic Connection Detection feature optimizes file transfers based on firewall restrictions. This detection algorithm quickly determines the optimum file transfer method and automatically switches between UDP, FTP or HTTP. The improved graphical interface makes functions easier to find, creating a more streamlined workflow.
