CigarFox.com to Have a Vendor Booth at Detroit's Downtown Hoe-Down, May 9-10

Gretchen Wilson, Josh Gracin and Trisha Yearwood headline 26th Annual Event.

Troy, MI (PRWEB) April 25, 2008 -- CigarFox, with roots in the Detroit tobacco industry for more than 50 years, will be one of the featured vendors during the largest free country music festival in the world, the 2008 Downtown Hoe-Down. CigarFox (http://www.cigarfox.com), owned by the Jenuwine Family, recently expanded their business to the digital marketplace where guests can create their own cigar (http://www.cigarfox.com) collection by mixing and matching specific cigar brands, flavors and sizes.

The 2008 Downtown Hoe-Down, hosted by Detroit's Country 99.5 WYCD-FM, is a not-for-profit family event featuring an all-star lineup, as well as emerging local artists. The May 9-10, 2008 event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.

Regarded by the Country Music Industry as a premier showcase opportunity not only for established artists, but for new artists as well, the event draws over 800,000 attendees. This year is expected to surpass all the rest with more than 30 artists taking to the stage.

Established artists headline the evening performances during the three-day event. Gone-country pop star Jewel, Carter's Chord and Josh Gracin perform on the evening of Friday, May 9. Headlining Saturday evening, May 10, are Little Big Town, Chris Cagle and Trisha Yearwood. On Sunday, May 11, Lonestar, Billy Currington and Gretchen Wilson close out the weekend's performances.

Local bands such as Fiddler's Restrung, Sarah Lenore and Redhill play around noon each day. Nashville newcomers follow in the afternoon and include Lady Antebellum, Phil Stacey, Whiskey Falls, and Jypsi over the weekend-long festival.

Downtown Hoe-Down, begun in 1983, has provided a big break for some of country music's biggest stars, namely Rascal Flatts, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Montgomery Gentry, and Big & Rich, to name a few. The event, located in Hart Plaza in the heart of Detroit City, is one of the plaza's most popular annual events. The Isamu Noguchi-designed plaza is also the site of Detroit's summer-long riverfront festivals and the Ford Detroit International Jazz Festival.
