The SS100B is an embedded board for network-enabling industrial control devices.

(PRWEB) December 29, 2004 -- The SS100B is a board level product that converts the serial data from industrial control devices such as PLC's, bar-code scanners, scales and printers to Ethernet and transfers up to 230 Kbps. It supports RS-232/422/485 based serial devices via DB9 serial port. With Hardware/Software flow control features, SS100B can control the amount of serial data transmitted between SS100B and serial devices.

On the other end, the SS100B is equipped with a RJ-45 connector, which can be used to connect the SS100B to 10/100 Base Ethernet network. For secure data communication between industrial device and a host PC, SSL encryption, HTTPS and IP filtering features are provided.
