Company Receives Patents on Revolutionary Gardening Product

Utilizing the components of the Hydro-Edge system, gardeners may easily enhance their flowerbeds with a fully functional watering system. Hydro-Edge features a patented self-tapping sprinkler head that can be placed anywhere along the length of edging that the gardener desires. The variable direction and flow control

capabilities of the system allow for maximum area coverage with minimal water waste, a particular concern for areas with restrictive water use policies and for conservation-conscious consumers. The product also allows the addition of a timer to control watering times or sprinkler zones.

System components are designed to be left in place year-round, eliminating the need for winter storage and re-installation the following spring. Hydro-Edge is designed to be connected to any standard outdoor water supply or can be connected to an in-ground sprinkler system, giving the system unlimited commercial possibilities.

According to Abbott, the lawn and garden market generated sales of over $39 billion in 2002, a 5% increase over the prior year. Eight out of ten households (85 million) participate in do-ityourself lawn and garden activities and, of these households, 55% purchased watering equipment. The company intends to offer the Hydro-Edge system that will include edging and all the components required to install a complete watering system. Each system will come complete with an extension connector so that additional systems may be added as needed. Finally, separate components will be offered for replacement and customization purposes. The company is producing the first quantity of Hydro-Edge and is seeking partnering opportunities for manufacture and distribution of its singular product -- the worlds first patented edging based watering system.
