Book Recounts How Author Served God in Good Times and Bad New release shows God's hand on his life. Longwood, FL (PRWEB) April 30, 2008 -- The only life worth living is that of a person who serves God without reservation, writes Kenneth N. Steward, author of Only One Life: The Life and Ministry of Kenneth N. Steward (paperback, 978-1-60647-139-5).
"God has a plan for the life of every Christian," Steward says. "He purchased the Christian by the sacrificial death of Christ on the cross and the shedding of His blood. The Christian no longer has a claim on his life to do with it what he wishes. He has only one life, and it belongs to God." The challenge to serve God comes through in the author's story.
The book is "simply written about the typical life of a boy who came out of the Great Depression," the author says. It takes the reader "from the famine-plagued plains of India to the majesty of the high Himalayas to the beauty of British Columbia." The author writes that he survived "the raging waters of a hurricane in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean" and the threat by a servant to "cut the throats of his children." But God protected and provided while Steward and his wife "served Him during times of great trials and need."
Kenneth N. Steward has coauthored a book on church planting in America, helped produce Bible correspondence courses in India, and served in ministry for sixty years.
