
35% of Mobile Holiday Shoppers Say Device is Integral to Shopping Experience—Can’t Holiday Shop Without It!, According to Mobile Survey A recent mobile survey conducted by Prosper Mobile Insights™ included 332 smartphone and tablet users from the SSI Panel who completed the survey on their devices. The survey was collected from 11/29 - 12/2/11. 45% of the respondents were male while 55% were female, and the average age of the sample was 42. The data reveals that most Mobile Users will be utilizing their smartphones and tablets for holiday activities, including communicating with loved ones, sharing their holiday experiences through social media and of course, shopping. Worthington, OH (PRWEB) December 07, 2011 Most Smartphone and Tablet Users will be shopping in a mobile wonderland this holiday season, according to a recent survey conducted by Prosper Mobile Insights™ among smartphone and tablet users on mobile devices. Out of 66.9% of Smartphone and Tablet Users who say they have already used their device to shop this holiday season, 35.1% say their mobile device has been an integral part of their experience—they can’t holiday shop without it! Another 52.7% say a smartphone or tablet has made shopping convenient, but they could shop without a mobile device if they needed to. Only 12.2% haven’t seen a benefit to mobile holiday shopping. Further, on a scale from 0 to 10, of those who have used their device to shop this holiday season, 1 in 4 (25.1%) would be extremely likely to recommend mobile shopping to a friend or colleague. If the Salvation Army bell ringers accepted payments from a smartphone or tablet, 35.8% would not donate in this way while 30.4% say they would. 27.1% are unsure.
