Award-Winning Author achieves Lifetime Dream as Romantic Times Book Club Magazine reviews Desert Heat

November 24, 2003 - "Romantic Times Book Club Magazine" recently made dreams come true for romance diva Kristie Leigh Maguire by reviewing her latest release, "Desert Heat", for inclusion in the upcoming December 03 issue.

In an excerpt of the review, RT reviewer Faith V. Smith informs readers: "The ménage a trois is explosive...with hot, passionate sex and underlying emotions of guilt, love and regret. Maguire singes readers' eyes with the fire of her love scenes. Desert Heat lives up to its name..."

Maguire is quoted as saying: "Having a review of one of my novels in the crème de la crème of romance magazines, 'Romantic Times Book Club Magazine', has been a long time dream of mine. I am very excited to have accomplished this dream at last and am pleased that the review is included in the December issue so that people shopping for Christmas gifts can see the review. 'Desert Heat' would make an excellent stocking stuffer for anyone who loves romance books - or your significant other. Men don't seem to be shy about emailing me and telling me how much they enjoyed reading it with their loved one. As one man one told me, 'Who needs Viagra when they can read a Kristie Leigh Maguire book!'"

Maguire was voted "Best Up and Coming Author of the Year" and "Desert Heat" won "Romance of the Year" by Affaire de Coeur 2003 Internet Reader/Writer Poll.

"Desert Heat" is the first novel in the romantica series, "Affairs of the Heart". Two more novels in the series, "Cabin Fever" and "Ring of Fire", are scheduled for release in 2004 and 2005 respectively.

Maguire's novel "Emails from the Edge (The Life of an Expatriate Wife)" is based upon her true story of an American woman living in the Land of the Rising Sun. Another novel, "No Lady and Her Tramp", is a romantic comedy she co-authored with Mark Haeuser.

In addition to being a published author, Maguire is the founder of NUW (Not the Usual Way) Independent Authors Community. She is the co-founder, President and CEO of Global Authors Publications, Inc. - a non-profit publishing corporation.
