Acclaimed Cieffe SPECTIVA adds Powerful DeePath® Motion-Tracking

The Cieffe Spectiva digital video recording and management system has been enhanced with DeePath®, a neural network-based motion-tracking system.

(PRWEB) December 19 2003--DeePath® is a powerful motion-tracking algorithm that analyses object movement for defined patterns of behaviour, such as individuals or vehicles following suspicious or illegal paths. DeePath® derives from the term 'Deeper Path, which characterises the depth of analysis underlying Cieffes motion-tracking function. The DeePath® motion-tracking algorithm can be configured to catalogue numerous movement typologies involving objects, whether vehicles, people or animals. Extensive motion-tracking functionality enables users to specify object shape, multiple zones, zone properties, stepping sequence, movement direction, and stepping time, for each pattern.

DeePath® breaks the mould of existing current pixel-based analysis, by providing multi-zone, multi-directional object tracking in real-time. The ability to specify patterns of interest, at the exclusion of others - greatly reduces false alarms and video storage costs.

DeePath® changes the concept of video surveillance by providing security personnel with the option of specifying and receiving only images where suspicious behaviours occur. The Spectivas powerful alarm logic expression builder extends opportunities for applying DeePath® motion-tracking further, by enabling users to specify alarms based on the simultaneous occurrence of two or more unique patterns and/or different types of events/alarms.
