Author Paul Tardo's book, The Last Hour, Reveals an Intimate Portrait of Christ Through Understanding His Suffering Paul A. Tardo, 59, writes a compelling book, The Last Hour, that more fully explains the sacrifice of Christ on the cross and the depth of what He endured. Tardo writes that Jesus' agony as depicted by The Passion of the Christ is only a fraction of what Jesus experienced. Springfield, MO (PRWEB) May 21, 2008 -- Holy fire Publishing released The Last Hour (Paperback, US$10.99, ISBN# 978-1-60383-054-6). While unemployed almost thirty years ago, Paul Tardo began his writing ministry through a mailing list of Christians he knew around the country. Though the mail list remained small, he kept receiving messages to write, and he was faithful to mail them out each month. Tardo's The Last Hour reveals the events Christ faced in the last hour before his death, explaining His cry of being forsaken and how people become more united with Christ in understanding the depths of His sacrifice.
Tardo explains the thoughts of Christ and the events in His last hours. Tardo says many have seen a fraction of the torture that Jesus experienced at the hands of Romans and Jews. People were moved to tears while watching Mel Gibson's movie, and even changed lifestyles because of the depiction of Jesus' suffering on the cross, but Gibson's portrayal didn't reveal the enormity about what was going on in the spirit.
In the first chapter of The Last Hour, Tardo provides an understanding of why God sent Jesus to die on the cross. And the chapters that follow explain what was behind Jesus' plaintive cry, "My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?"
"When Jesus gave the disciples their first communion, He said, 'This do in remembrance of me,' Greater understanding of what Jesus thought and knowing more of the events leading to the last hour of Christ's life on the earth opens a greater communion, even a more wonderful fellowship with His sufferings." --Paul A. Tardo
Tardo explains "fellowship with His sufferings" this way: "If you go through a trial with someone, fellowshipping with his or her sufferings, your union together becomes unbreakable." When people feel someone else's pain and anguish in a serious trial, a close bond results.
Paul A. Tardo lives with his wife of 28 years, Peggy, in Springfield, Missouri. He has two grown sons, who love and serve the Lord as well.
