gogoGrocery.com announces the launch of its new grocery buying and delivery services in the Atlanta, GA area. gogoGrocery.com will enable consumers to select and purchase their groceries online and have them delivered to their home or office within 59 minutes of their order by using the gogoExpress service. Or, consumers can choose one-hour time windows for delivery by using the gogoSelect service.

Unlike other grocery shopping and delivery ventures that have been tested and failed (i.e. WebVan, PublixDirect, etc.), gogoGrocery.com utilizes the inventories of local “national brand” chain stores so that they can fulfill consumer’s orders quickly and efficiently without the additional overhead and geographic limitations inherent with centralized distribution centers.

As orders are received, gogoGrocery.com employs their unique “FreshWay” system for fulfillment. Orders are routed to store closest to the consumer where a gogoGrocery.com Personal Shopper selects the items for orders and packages them for delivery. The orders are then delivered by “safety trained” Delivery Drivers directly to the consumer.

gogoGrocery.com plans to operate from over 250 stores in the Southeast by June, 2004 and is now hiring for the following markets:
