MAD magazine #1 sells for $25,000 online

TIAS.com today released a list of unusual and rare antiques and collectibles that their merchants sold online in 2003. One of these items included a $25,000 copy of MAD magazine.

MAD magazine #1 (The publishers copy) which was sold online by Metropolis Comics for $25,000.

A Victorian Renaissance revival rosewood pedestal was sold online by Antiques by Lise Bohm for $9,500

A large Tiffany decorated vase. Phantom lustre exterior with nice opalescence, gold feathering and swirling throughout, was sold online by Reyne Gallery for $6500

Diamond waterfall earrings and a Diamond Platinum Jaeger Le Coultre Watch, were sold online by HPS Jewelers for $13,000

Other interesting items sold online by TIAS merchants in 2003 include a $19,000 antique fireplace mantle, a $12,500 steel hooded Rolex Bubbleback wrist watch, a 5th Corps officers "slouch hat" for $6000 and a copy of the Green Lantern #1 comic book for $11,850.
