Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) January 11, 2004 -- The Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame Foundation invites you to enjoy dinner with Chuck Bednarik, Joe Frazier, Sonny Hill, Paul Arizin, Robin Roberts, Harry Kalas and Steve Van Buren along with Bert Bell Jr. and Rich Ashburn Jr. (on behalf of their fathers, Bert Bell and Richie Ashburn) on February 9th at the Society Hill Sheraton.

These Philadelphia sports legends, and others, will be honored for their contribution to Philadelphia sports during the First Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony hosted by Master of Ceremonies Pat Williams, former General Manager of the 76ers and current Vice-President of the Orlando Magic.

This gala evening will feature a cocktail reception, silent auction of Philadelphia sporting memorabilia, an opportunity to meet the inductees, dinner and induction ceremony. As a fundraiser, the organization anticipates that the event will raise seed monies for its athletic camps, scholarships, grant and internship programs.

Founded in May, 2002, the Sports Hall of Fame Foundation serves to preserve and promote the rich history of Philadelphia sports, and honor those athletes, coaches, teams, organizations, fans, events and venues that have brought great pride and glory to the great city of Philadelphia.
