Banks Ramp up Personal Loan Web Sites

New research looks at which personal loan web sites are best and why.

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 4, 2008 -- With the economy in a slump, banks are ramping up their personal lending web sites. But not all personal lending sites are created equally, according to new research released today by Change Sciences Group. The 29 page report looks at what people experienced over the last two months as they attempted to find a personal loan that met their needs and apply for it online on 20 leading bank web sites. The sites are rated for ease of use, informativeness and persuasiveness based on an advanced user modeling technology called Kantuit.

The longest online personal loan application requires almost twice as much effort to complete than the shortest. 80% of the sites fail to answer at least one question that users have about personal loan products, and the same number of sites have instances of navigation design that pose challenges to some users.
