Everyone will be a winner at this year’s Spring Fling hosted by the Alameda Business Network (ABN). Over $5,000 in donated products and services will be raffled and auctioned off while guests enjoy great food, drinks, and live music and entertainment.

Doors open at 5:30 pm on Thursday, April 7 at the Rhythmix Cultural Works located at 2513 Blanding Avenue in the City of Alameda. Admission is $15, and nonperishable food items will be collected at the door for the Alameda Food Bank.

“Every three months the Alameda Business Network hosts a fundraising event for local community organizations and charities,” said Luis Gomez of Alameda Auto Lab auto repair in Alameda. “The events are a great face-to-face networking opportunity for Alameda business people and the community.”

Previous ABN fundraisers have raised money for the Alameda Welfare Counsel, the Alameda Education Foundation, Operation Mom, and Toys for Tots. This time proceeds will benefit Alameda Youth Sports and the Alameda Food Bank.

“Sports is a major part of youth development and history in Alameda,” said Chuck DiGuida, President of the Alameda Business Network. “Money raised at the Spring Fling will help fund Alameda Wolverines Football and Cheer and Alameda Baseball scholarships, equipment and field costs.”

ABN members have donated over 30 bottles of great wines to create the “Instant Wine Cellar,” which is expected to be the most coveted auction prize at the Spring Fling fundraiser.

The live entertainment schedule includes a Mini-Fashion show featuring Jennifer Serr’s Sewing Class presenting young students’ designs at 6 pm; Johanna Dehlinger dancing the Bachata while Edgardo Cambon plays along on his conga drums at about 6:15 pm; and team members from Alameda Youth Sports teams taking the stage to talk about their team experiences and need to succeed at approximately 6:30 pm.

This spring's event will be held at Rhythmix Cultural Works, 2513 Blanding Avenue in the City of Alameda on April 7th, at 5:30 pm. Everyone is welcome.
