Hallmark Construction announced Monday the company has started retrofit work at a Grainger Supply branch in North San Jose. Upgrades to the building are expected to be minimal as the facility is in good condition. Pat Taggart, Hallmark’s project manager for the job, anticipates construction will be completed in several weeks.
“Hallmark has a large portfolio of seismic retrofits,” said Taggart, “Our experience gives us an edge on how to best game-plan and execute, allowing for us the get the job done faster than our competitors.”
Grainger also requested that business continue uninterrupted throughout the project. Taggart was happy to oblige.
“Hallmark’s track-record in tenant improvements is one of the strongest in the industry,” said Taggart, “We know how to keep our clients’ businesses running while we get the job done.”
Taggart’s career portfolio of success is one few can match. During his nearly 30 years in the industry, Taggart has been tapped to manage substantial projects for Yahoo!, Apple and Fry’s Electronics. He also delivered the noteworthy Century Plaza building across from the Winchester Mystery House and recently completed a new O’Reilly Auto Parts store in Seaside.
Taggart has been able to utilize his expertise in this Grainger retrofit, which is the latest in a line of more than 20 projects Hallmark has completed for the international industrial supplier.
“Our clients are the reason we’re here,” said Taggart, “If they need us to do something, we make it happen.”
