The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, announced today that Dr. Jac Fitz-enz, internationally recognized authority on human capital benchmarking and award-winning author, will speak at HCI's inaugural National Human Capital Summit, to be held in Chicago April 6-7.

Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) April 1, 2006 -- The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, announced today that Dr. Jac Fitz-enz, internationally recognized authority on human capital benchmarking and award-winning author, will speak at HCI's inaugural National Human Capital Summit, to be held in Chicago April 6-7.

Wednesday, April 5, Dr. Fitz-enz will deliver a pre-summit workshop on "New Human Capital Measures That Drive Business Results." Friday, day two of the Summit, Fitz-enz presents "Measuring the Financial Contribution of Human Capital," a session focused on human capital benchmarking and performance measurement.

"Measuring return on investment is an essential component of an effective human capital management strategy. Yet some organizations are still uncertain as to the process," said Allan Schweyer, HCI's Executive Director. "Jac Fitz-enz, the thought leader who pioneered the field of human capital benchmarking and performance measurement, is uniquely qualified to provide insight."

Dr. Jac Fitz-enz is founder of the renowned Saratoga Institute, an organization that has conducted research and published annual international benchmark data on human capital productivity and effective practices since 1977.

While with Saratoga, Dr. Fitz-enz trained more than 50,000 managers in 40 countries. For four decades, he and the Saratoga network were known as "the source" for the American Management Association (AMA), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the American Productivity and Quality Center, the International Quality and Productivity Center, the U.S. and Canadian Conference Boards, major multinational consulting firms, and most trade associations.

In 2003, PricewaterhouseCoopers acquired Saratoga Institute. That same year, Dr. Jac Fitz-enz founded Human Capital Source, a consultancy that continues his work in human capital measurement and also focuses on the interface of sales and service associates with customers.

The acknowledged "father" of human capital benchmarking, Jac Fitz-enz is the author of seven acclaimed books. He is the only two-time recipient of the SHRM Book of the Year award, which he won for "Human Value Management" and "The ROI of Human Capital." Known for his ability to speak to current human capital management issues, Dr. Fitz-enz has delivered more than 700 presentations in 40 countries in the past 25 years.
