Arbita Joins HR-XML Consortium

Arbita, a leading provider of global recruitment strategy and jobs cross posting solutions, is pleased to announce its affiliation with the HR-XML Consortium.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) August 23, 2006 -- Arbita, a leading provider of global recruitment strategy and jobs cross posting solutions, is pleased to announce its affiliation with the HR-XML Consortium. As a member of the Consortium, Arbita is committed to the development and promotion of a standard suite of XML specifications that enable e-business and the automation of human resources-related data exchanges.

“Our preferred data exchange specification has been HR-XML based since 2001,” said Arbita’s CTO, Ed Haswell. “The benefit to our customers is clear and we felt it was time to step forward and actively support the Consortium’s mission.” Haswell continued, “We offer our years of technology leadership experience in the recruitment industry; we expect that active participation in an organization representing the thought leadership in HR data exchange standards will accelerate Arbita’s ability to integrate both efficiently and flexibly with customers and business partners.”

“We’re pleased to welcome Arbita into the HR-XML Consortium,” said Chuck Allen, the Consortium’s Executive Director. “Arbita’s long experience with HR Systems, Web-Native Software Solutions, and enterprise software environments will make them valuable contributors to our objectives,” Allen concluded.

“Arbita is committed to open technical standards,” said Don Ramer, Arbita’s President and CEO. “As a member of the Consortium, we will work to continuously improve the data interchange standards used to meet the unique requirements of our industry.”

About HR-XML Consortium
The HR-XML Consortium (http://www.hr-xml.org) is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to enabling e-Commerce and human resources data interchange universally. The mission of the HR-XML Consortium is to spare employers and vendors the risk and expense of having to negotiate and agree upon data interchange mechanisms on an ad-hoc basis. By developing and publishing open data exchange standards based on Extensible Markup Language (“XML”), the Consortium aims to provide the means for any company to transact with other companies without having to establish, engineer, and implement many separate interchange mechanisms. HR-XML’s efforts are focused on standards for staffing and recruiting, benefits enrollment, payroll, competencies and workforce management.
