We have close ties with the teak industry in Indonesia so we're perfectly placed to satisfy the demand for reclaimed teak furniture in the UK and Europe.

The Garden Furniture Centre are specialists in sourcing and selling Teak Furniture of all shapes and sizes.
As teak is superseded by other materials for use in building and construction in Indonesia there has been a rise in the availability of aged teak that is reclaimed and used for more creative purposes in furniture building.
This leads to old canoes and boats being modified and crafted into benches, ornate wall motifs and the like. The collective name for these pieces in the west is Reclaimed Teak Furniture and a lot of these pieces are impressive works of art on their own right.
Jon Haimes, Managing Director at The Garden Furniture Centre said,
"In recent years there's been an increasing demand for Reclaimed Teak Furniture imported from abroad. We have close ties with the teak industry in Indonesia so we're perfectly placed to satisfy the demand for reclaimed teak furniture in the UK and Europe."
The bespoke nature of these pieces of furniture means that each piece is totally unique and there is a feeling among many collectors that they will become the antiques of the future - that is if they aren't antiques already, of course.
There are also environmental benefits associated with using reclaimed teak. There are over 17,000 islands that make up the Indonesian archipelago along with thousands of indigenous people, plants and animals who rely on the teak forests for their livelihood. The use of reclaimed teak for western furniture helps to reduce deforestation and sustain the forest habitats.
