It is a special honor for the organization to have recognized Hatch and my design work for the second time, and it’s always a privilege to work with great local organizations like A Better Image.

Lynne Smyers, partner and creative director for the full-service communications agency Hatch, and A Better Image Printing in Chapel Hill, NC, have won a PICA Award from the Printing Industries of the Carolinas. This year the award was received in the “Best of Category for Booklets: Large Format,” for a piece Smyers designed for Innovation Network, a Washington, DC-based evaluation, research and consulting firm that provides knowledge and expertise to help nonprofits and funders learn from their work to improve their results. Smyers and the printer jointly received a PICA award last year based on a printed piece for the same client.
“It is a special honor for the organization to have recognized my design work for the second time, and it’s always a privilege to work with great local organizations like A Better Image,” Smyers said.
Some of Hatch’s other clients in the Triangle area include the PTA Thrift Shop—a major recycler, reuse and resale nonprofit that has donated almost $5 million to local schools in the last 15 years and just launched a $5.1 million building campaign; innovative life sciences developer Entegrion, and metrics provider Client Opinions.
