DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their football news site football.co.uk.
It was today the turn of Manchester City’s Micah Richards to see his official PFA Profile:
The City defender made his first team debut way back in 2005 coming on against Arsenal as a substitute at the age of 16. Since then Richards has not looked back and his performances for City have earned him 13 England caps as well as a call up to the Great Britain Football team for the upcoming Olympics. In the 2010-11 Richards helped City to their first major trophy in over 30 years by winning the FA Cup and the following season Richards, again, was key to the success of the club winning their first league trophy in over 40 years when they won the Premiership on the final day of the 2011-12 season.
Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say “Richards will have no shortage of fans after a highly successful season with Man City in the Premiership resulting in winning the league and an Olympic call up for Richards.”
“Of course being selected as one of the 18 squad members for the Olympics requires a certain level of respect and responsibility and he is sure to be a major hit with fans on Facebook.”
Digital Sports Group will provide further PFA player profiles for every professional footballer in England. The Micah Richards Facebook page is now live
