Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) July 08, 2014

101 Mobility Sarasota has a new title to add to its repertoire. Chuck Vollmer, owner of 101 Mobility Sarasota, is now a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS). Aging in place is the preferred way to grow older by the majority of America’s senior population. These individuals and families wish to remain in their existing homes and continue their day-to-day activities with independence and convenience. Service providers such as contractors, interior designers, mobility retailers, and architects gain valuable knowledge through the three-day CAPS certification course and are then able to ensure their clients remain safe and happy in their homes for years to come.

101 Mobility Sarasota, a local resource, installer, and maintenance provider for wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, auto lifts, and patient lifts works closely with Sarasota area contractors and related businesses to outfit homes for optimal accessibility. “Whether it’s allowing an immobile person to get to their second floor or enabling a wheelchair bound individual access to outdoor activities, it’s our goal to ensure our clients are able to enjoy life in their home in the most comfortable and safest way possible,” said Chuck. The CAPS course was held in his Sarasota office and also included a Collier County building remodeler and a Sarasota area interior designer. “The experience really opened up and identified a group of people in my market that are certified. It’s fantastic knowing they have gone the extra mile to properly meet unique aging-in-place needs.”

Chuck looks forward to utilizing his new CAPS designation for improving aging-in-place options throughout the area. He is also optimistic and very interested in strengthening his local referral network to better serve Sarasota’s aging community.
