Alexa Internet, Inc. is a subsidiary of Amazon.com. It collects and analyzes browsing behavior data as a basis for its Web traffic reporting and to rank sites based on traffic from users. 10KWEB started out at eighteen million when it went live on March 5th of this year and has undergone a meteoric rise due to heavy promotion from its founding members, as well as new members around the world.
