Internet start-up, 10KWEB is pleased to announce the addition of the nation of Togo to its global family network. Togo, or Togolese Republic as it is officially known, is a sub-Saharan country on the continent of Africa. 10KWEB-Togo is led by Kassoumina Hadabia Liomba and Barnabo Naaman. Roland Charles rounds out the team as their Associate on the ground. Liomba was recruited by Pacome Flan, leader of 10KWEB-Ivory Coast.
Togo has a population of approximately six point seven million (6.7million) with a little over five per cent of the population recognized as regular internet users. The country exports twenty-eight different products but their economy is highly dependent on agriculture, especially cocoa, coffee and cotton. Other exports include gold powder, calcium phosphates, cement clinkers and petroleum-related products. Recent political unrest, however, has caused economic development, especially foreign investment, to stall.
10KWEB Co-Founder, Anthony Martins, sees opportunity in Togo’s obstacles toward economic and political success, saying, “The people of Togo can’t wait for the problems to resolve themselves. They have to create their own opportunities, their own solutions. 10KWEB is an option for the people and we are ready, willing and able to help them create opportunity for themselves.”
10KWEB was created January 2012 by Anthony Martins and Thomas Bang as an online resource for aspiring blog writers and small business owners. Their website launched on March 5th, 2012 and is currently used in the United States, Mexico, Great Britain, Germany, China, Morocco, Italy and New Zealand with more markets in development.
